Former singer and creative entrepreneur Josje Huisman knows what it’s like to live life at full speed. After years in the spotlight and now in the midst of motherhood, she discovered how essential it is to care for yourself — even when your schedule is packed. PEAK PERFORMANCE
Some kids spend their childhood glued to a screen. Vincent? He was usually halfway up a climbing wall, on a hiking trail, or learning how to sail — the kind of family where “day off” meant “find your sneakers.” Growing up in Schoten with an older brother who seemed to be good at everything, Vincent learned early that if you want to stand out, you work for it. And for him, sport was the way.
Hockey was his main stage for years — first as a player, then from age 17 as a coach. That’s where he discovered his love for teaching, a passion that took him into the (semi)professional league with clubs in both Belgium and the Netherlands, including B.N.M.H.C. Zwart-Wit, HC Tilburg, and KHC Dragons.
At 19, a new obsession arrived: CrossFit. What started as a side hobby quickly became a driving force. He coached in his Wuustwezel box, studied Physical Education, and over time added Pilates and reformer training to his repertoire. Today, around half of his classes at The Brick are Pilates-based — proof that he can switch from explosive workouts to controlled, precise movement without missing a beat.
And when he’s not coaching? He’s exploring the great outdoors with Milo, aptly nicknamed ‘Humpty Dumpty’, a Romanian street dog he adopted, and together with his girlfriend Jodie, he runs Sozo Digital, their creative studio specialising in sports, health, and lifestyle photography and videography. It’s the perfect blend of his two worlds: movement and visual storytelling.
If there’s any spare time left (don’t bet on it), you’ll probably find him at a summer festival — music in his ears, camera in hand, and yes… still moving.

SUMAC TERRACE TAKEOVER
From July 15 to August 24, Sumac is taking over the terrace at Café Capital. Expect their signature mezze and Lebanese-inspired dishes, served alongside a fresh lineup of seasonal cocktails.
Every Wednesday, they’re turning up the summer with Mezze & Music—a laid-back afterwork featuring live DJ sets and feel-good energy. It’s the midweek reset you didn’t know you needed.
Open Wednesday to Sunday, starting from lunch (12:00) until late. If you’re heading out to Club Capital on the weekend, start your night with dinner and drinks on the terrace.
