MAYHEM WITH MAYA
Some people work out to sweat, Maya moves to connect. Born and raised in Amsterdam, she’s always been curious about the link between body, mind, and energy—and at The Brick, she brings that spark to the front desk every day. Warm, welcoming… with a dash of chaos. But that’s part of her charm: wherever she is, there’s always movement, laughter, and great energy.
Outside her role here, Maya wears a different hat as a NEI-therapist (that’s Neuro Emotional Integration for the uninitiated), helping people gently release old emotional blockages without having to relive them. Think of it as a body–mind reset button: restoring balance, easing complaints, and creating space for energy to flow again.

Recently, Maya swapped the buzz of Amsterdam for the wide-open fields of the Kempen. Life in the countryside suits her perfectly—long walks, fresh air, starry skies, and the kind of quiet where you can actually hear yourself think. Or, in Maya’s case, breathe.
And if you see her glowing, it’s not just yoga—it’s motherhood. Maya’s little boy Mosey (almost two!) keeps her playful and endlessly curious. Together they explore the world with fresh eyes, whether that’s building huts in the forest, climbing trees, or enjoying the small, magical adventures of daily life.

Her personal practice is her sanctuary: Pilates, yoga, meditation, and energy work—a blend of strength, flow, and stillness. At The Brick, she gravitates toward Reformer with Oona for power and alignment, while Yin Yoga has become her form of moving meditation, giving her space to slow down and recharge.
Maya embodies what The Brick is all about: building strength, finding balance, and staying deeply connected—to yourself, to others, and to the world around you. Her motto? “Move with purpose, breathe with ease, and always keep a little room for wonder.”

BACK TO THE ALPS

BAR D’HENRI?
Seger, 35, has been lifting at The Brick for as long as his other baby’s been alive: Bar d’Henri. Seven years strong. For him, training is like hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del on body and mind—perfect reset before or after the chaos of running a hotspot. And yes, he admits it: he’s a sucker for comfort, which is why The Brick’s polished vibe suits him just fine.
Bar d’Henri started as a jazzy little vegan hideout and has since blown up into a plant-based burger and tapas heaven with cocktails that actually deserve a main character moment. The place has hosted celebrity diners (yep, Cillian Murphy and Billie Eilish among them), but Seger keeps the focus on flavor, creativity, and good vibes.

And because standing still isn’t in his DNA, he’s also opening Koetshuis—a new event space in Antwerp’s Kronenburgstraat. Think elegant, buzzing, and very Seger.
