MIDNIGHT TRAIN TO GEORGIA

Every Tuesday evening, around 19:30, the energy in THE STAGE shifts. The lights dim, the music rises, and then she walks in: Tereza Kalandadze – radiant, focused, and ready to lead another full house through FIT, her signature Step workout where power, rhythm, and endorphins collide.

But Tereza didn’t just show up one day as the queen of cardio. Her story begins much earlier, in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she grew up surrounded by music, dance, and the warm chaos of big family dinners. “When I moved to Belgium at ten, I brought more than just a suitcase,” she says. “I brought our traditions, our food, and the way we danced after dessert.”

For Tereza, dance has always been more than movement – it’s been a lifeline. A way to stay grounded in her culture, to express emotion, and to feel at home, even when everything else was unfamiliar. That love for rhythm never left her. And three years ago, it brought her to The Brick.

She started coaching FIT – a high-intensity Step class that blends choreography with serious strength. It was an instant hit. “It’s not just about sweating,” she says. “It’s about letting go, connecting with your body, and leaving everything else at the door.” Her classes are sweaty, sassy, and strangely therapeutic. No wonder they fill up fast.

But The Brick gave her more than just a platform to teach. It gave her a community – and eventually, love. Last month, she married Jordi, the creative genius behind all our Brick videos. “We met here, we built something here,” she says. “This place really changed my life.”

Tereza’s journey is a reminder that sometimes, when you follow your passion, everything else follows too – from purpose to partnership.

Her FIT class is where she shines brightest, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Off the step and outside the studio, she’s now bringing that same warmth and energy to a brand-new venture…

LITTLE TBILISI, A TASTE OF HOME

In April, Tereza, together with her sister Anna – not a coach but a loyal Brick member since 2018 – opened Little Tbilisi, a Georgian restaurant in the heart of Antwerp. It’s more than just a place to eat; it’s a love letter to their roots, filled with the flavors, textures, and rituals they grew up with.

From fluffy khachapuri to earthy walnut stews, their menu is steeped in memory. “We wanted to share what our mother made for us, the way she welcomed people, the way she fed not just your stomach but your soul,” says Tereza.

It’s the kind of spot where strangers become friends, and where toasts can turn into impromptu dance parties if someone cues the right song. A little like her FIT class, just with more carbs.

To celebrate the opening, Little Tbilisi is treating all Brick members to a free glass of bubbles with their meal. Just mention The Brick when you arrive and raise a toast to food, fitness, and finding your people.

MURPH & BBQ CROSSFIT

Thursday May 29 @ Dragons Den

(workouts 9-13h, BBQ right after)

Let me introduce you to a piece of CrossFit legacy: Murph. One of the most iconic workouts in our sport, not just because it’s brutal, but because it means something. Murph is named after Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who gave his life in Afghanistan in 2005. This was one of his favorite workouts, and now it’s a tradition across the CrossFit world to do it every year around Memorial Day. One tough workout, for one incredibly tough human.

So what is Murph exactly?

1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
1 mile run

All preferably in a 9kg/6kg weighted vest, if that’s your jam.

But let’s be clear: this day is not just about suffering. It’s about showing up for yourself, for others and for something bigger than us. It’s about digging in, working hard, and then – probably most importantly – hanging out together.

Which brings us to… the BBQ.

For the 4th year in a row, we’re firing up the grill post-Murph for arrosticini (those glorious Italian grilled lamb skewers) and good times. Because our community isn’t just what happens during the workout, it’s also the stories, the laughter and the meal we share after.

Scale as needed. Show up as you are. Do the full thing, a partner version, a scaled version… we got you!

Come for the workout, stay for the vibes.

We’d love to see you there.
